Tardies

Students should be in their seats, quiet and ready for roll call when class begins.

  • Time on task has a high correlation with student achievement.

  • Tardy students not only miss instruction, they also disrupt the instruction of the entire classroom.

  • If a student is tardy four or more times within a semester, the parent's and student will need to meet with the principal. Subsequent tardies should result in disciplinary action unless the student was late due to a medical appointment.

  • In the event a student arrives late to school, the student must report to the Front Office for a pass and sign in before reporting to class. A parent or guardian is requested to sign the student in to school. The tardy pass should be given to the teacher. Students who miss an entire class period must obtain an admit slip from the Front Office.
