Resources for Students/Teachers:

  • Study Island is a free resource available to your students to help them improve their reading, math, or science skills. Check with your teacher about log in information.

  • NewsELA and CommonLit are websites that are highly recommended by our ELA teachers. Parents can either print out cool, up-to-date articles or have your child read online. Practice quizzes are available in many cases. A little reading time goes a long way.

  • Math Nation is recommended by teachers if your student is taking Honors Algebra I or Honors Geometry

  • Khan Academy Your students can personalize Khan Academy to help them in all of their subjects, including math, US and world history, physics, biology, chemistry, economics, computer science, and more. All resources are free!

  • Poetry 180 is a project by the Library of Congress designed to make it easy for students to hear or read a poem on each of the 180 days of the school year. They were selected by Billy Collins, Former Poet Laureate of the United States, with high school students in mind.
