In addition to these elective classes, there are many other teams, organizations and special activities that add an extra dimension to our educational mission here. During the year, the entire school participates in several pep rallies to celebrate our many achievements in academics, athletics, and arts!
Ms. Bruse teaches our Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, Honor, Football and Jazz Bands, as well as our 5th Grade Band Enrichment Program. We have one of the most successful middle school band programs in the state of Florida, consistently receiving superior ratings at music performance assessments and sending students to All-County and All-State.
We are a student-led organization sponsored by the Niceville-Valparaiso Kiwanis Club and some of their members regularly attend our meetings. Contact Mrs. Lennon for more information.
Mr Feazell leads our choruses through training and practice for successful auditions for All-County and All-State honor choirs, as well as developing exceptional talent in Ruckel's Ambassadors.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Odyssey of the Mind
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics.

Speech and Debate Team

Each year's staff is selected from sixth and seventh graders at the end of May to begin working on the next year's publication. They meet twice weekly in Room P2 from 2:30 to 4:15 pm. Advisor Mrs. Marshall .
