The Ruckel Middle School (RMS) Girls 4 X 800 Track Relay Team was recognized at the June 24, 2024, School Board meeting for winning the 2024 Florida Youth Running Association (FLYRA) State Championships on May 4, 2024, at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
This group of 8th-grade girls not only won the state championship and set the RMS school record but are also the 5th fastest middle school team in the country this year and the 8th fastest middle school time ever in Florida.
