Okaloosa County Schools uses a nationally recognized crisis management training program to prevent, minimize, and manage the safety of students. All schools will have a QBS Safety-Care®Crisis Response Team that includes a group of employees who have received specialized QBS Safety-Care® Crisis Response training in De-escalation and Restraint, in accordance with §1003.573, Florida Statutes, and District policy. The QBS Safety-Care® Crisis Response Team’s role is to respond and assist when a student(s) is displaying behavior(s) considered to be a safety risk to themselves and/or others.
