Resolution 20-01 Sales Surtax Final with Exhibit

The Okaloosa School District Facilities Planning Department is responsible for the development and implementation of the District’s Capital Construction Program.  This includes the renovation, remodeling, and construction of school facilities to meet the District’s needs.

The Department also develops the Five Year Work Plan, the Educational Plant Survey, and the District Project Priority list which are submitted annually to the Florida Department of Education.  In this process, the department develops plans for growth to meet the district’s long-range goals.  In addition, we oversee the care of legal documents for all parcels of land owned by the Okaloosa County School District.  Construction documents and blueprints are housed in a secure area where an inventory is in process.

Offices are open 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM weekdays.

Maintenance - Grounds

The mission of the Maintenance Department is to provide assistance for preventive, emergency and routine maintenance. We repair heating and cooling systems, scoreboards, and intercoms and also provide plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, locksmith and grounds services, including athletic field preparation and maintenance.

The main office for the Maintenance Department is located at the Carver Hill Administrative Complex located at 461 W. School Ave., Crestview, FL 32536. Our office telephone numbers are 850-689-7158 and 850-689-7159.  Invoices and estimates should be mailed or faxed to the primary fax line at 850-689-7410.

Carver Hill Administrative Complex is home to the maintenance shop for the north zone schools and facilities in the north end of the county that include all Crestview area schools, Baker School, and Laurel Hill School.

The Central Administrative Complex is the home office for the maintenance shop for the central zone schools and facilities that include all Niceville area schools, Eglin Elementary, the Shalimar area schools, and the Destin area schools.

The Beck Building, located off Lewis Turner Blvd. is home to our grounds support crew that services the entire county, as well as our south zone maintenance shop that supports all of the Fort Walton Beach area schools and facilities.

While the Maintenance Department supports the District as a whole, the foreman assigned to each zone should be the point of contact for schools in that zone. Visit our Staff page to see the foreman assigned to each school.
