The Okaloosa County School District (OCSD) is excited to welcome students back to school today as the 2026–2027 school year officially gets underway. Superintendent Marcus Chambers shared a message of welcome and excitement as schools across the district prepare for another year of learning, growth, and achievement. “Our schools are ready, and our teachers and staff are prepared to support, challenge, and inspire every student who walks through our doors,” said Superintendent Chambers. “I am excited about the opportunities ahead and confident that together we will make this a great year for the students of Okaloosa County.”
The new school year brings several exciting developments across the district, including the opening of Pineview School in Crestview, the new Okaloosa Technical College North Campus, and the expanded Destin Elementary 3–5 Center. These new and improved learning spaces reflect OCSD’s continued commitment to providing students with opportunities to learn and succeed in environments designed to meet their needs. Superintendent Chambers also expressed his appreciation to the district’s educators, staff, families, and community partners for their continued support and dedication to students. “We are looking forward to welcoming our students back and making the 2026–2027 school year one filled with opportunity, achievement, and meaningful moments,” Chambers said.
