Okaloosa Technical College (OTC) will celebrate the ribbon cutting of its new North Campus on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will take place at 5560 John Givens Road, Crestview, marking a major expansion of career and technical education opportunities in northern Okaloosa County. The new OTC North Campus reflects the college’s continued commitment to providing students with accessible, career-focused training aligned with the needs of local industries. The facility will expand capacity and program offerings in high-demand fields, helping prepare students for successful careers while strengthening the region’s workforce.
The new campus is the result of a strong partnership with One Okaloosa Economic Development Council (One Okaloosa EDC), with critical funding provided through the Florida Department of Education's Capitalization Grant Program and Triumph Gulf Coast. “Today’s workforce requires skilled professionals who are prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly changing economy,” said Superintendent Marcus Chambers. “The OTC North Campus represents an important investment in our students, our community, and the future workforce of Okaloosa County. By expanding opportunities in technical education, we are helping students build pathways to rewarding careers.”
The North Campus will offer training opportunities in several high-demand career areas, including:
Computer Systems Information Technology with a Cybersecurity pathway
Industrial Engineering Technology
Master Automotive Service Technology I & II
Plumbing Technology
Welding Technology with advanced training opportunities
The new campus builds upon the success of OTC’s established South Campus in Fort Walton Beach, which continues to provide students with industry-recognized training and certification pathways. Together, both campuses will increase access to technical education programs that support students, employers, and the local economy.
“OTC’s mission is to provide students with the skills, certifications, and confidence needed to succeed in today’s workforce,” said OTC Director Jon Williams. “The opening of the North Campus allows us to serve more students, expand opportunities in critical industries, and continue preparing graduates for long-term career success.” Through hands-on instruction, industry-aligned programs, and experienced faculty, OTC equips students with the technical skills needed to enter the workforce, advance in their careers, or continue their education.
