The Okaloosa County School District is thrilled to welcome community partners and media to the grand opening of Shalimar Elementary School’s new cafetorium building. This state-of-the-art facility features a modern music classroom and a newly paved bus ramp, enhancing both the learning environment and campus functionality. The celebration also includes the unveiling of the school’s new playground, providing students with a vibrant and engaging space for recreation. These transformative projects, made possible through the voter-approved Half-Cent Sales Tax, highlight the community’s investment in our schools and commitment to student success.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Thursday, February 27, at 1350 Joe Martin Circle, Shalimar, beginning promptly at 9:00 a.m. Attendees are kindly requested to arrive by 8:45 a.m. for check-in at the school’s front office.
