ESPY Ms. Guadalupe Salas-Garcia Registrar, Shoal River Middle School

Congratulations to Guadalupe Salas-Garcia, the Registrar at Shoal River Middle School (SRMS), on being honored as the Employee Support Professional of the Year for the Okaloosa County School District! Since joining our district in 2020 as a substitute teacher, Salas-Garcia has quickly made her mark, first as the STP Monitor and then as the Front Desk/Attendance Secretary. Now in her third year as Registrar, she continues to excel in her role.

Beyond her professional achievements, Salas-Garcia is deeply committed to her community, serving as a co-coach for the SRMS robotics team and actively participating in various initiatives. With a passion for education, she aspires to inspire future generations as a teacher.

Congratulations, Ms. Salas-Garcia (pictured above), on this well-deserved recognition!

We would also like to congratulate Andrea Waters, Secretary at Okaloosa Technical College, and Damaris Padilla, Interpreter at Elliott Point Elementary, for being finalists. It is an honor to be nominated by their school/department, and they, along with ALL the other Educational Support Employees of the Year, are invaluable members of the OCSD Family! Thank you for all you do!
