Amy Pearson  AP of Niceville High School

The Okaloosa County School Board approved Amy Pearson as the Assistant Principal of Niceville High School at the June 10, 2024, School Board meeting.    

Mrs. Pearson was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida (FL), and graduated from Northeast High School. After high school, she attended the University of Florida, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in 2001 and her master’s degree in 2004, both in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine.   

In 2015, Amy made the switch to education, beginning her teaching career in St Lucie County, FL, where she taught middle grades science and acted as team lead and the athletic director for her K-8 school. In 2019 her family moved to the Niceville area where she taught middle grades science at Shoal River Middle School and was named Teacher of the Year in 2021.  

Mrs. Pearson was then hired as the District STEM coach, supporting secondary science and math while earning her master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of West Florida in 2022.
