Madi is a current senior at CHS and has participated in weightlifting all four years of her high school career. In her freshman year, she placed third in traditional, as a sophomore she placed second in snatch and third in traditional, as a junior her weight class changed, and she placed 3rd in Olympic and 6th in traditional. She continued to push herself to reach her goal of becoming a state champion.

All of Madi’s hard work and dedication to her sport paid off this year at state with a third place in traditional and a State Championship in Olympic in the 119-weight class. Madi cleaned and jerked 190 pounds and snatched 140 pounds.

Madi's State Championship is the first in the history of CHS for a female athlete.  Shei will be attending Mars Hill University in North Carolina on a weightlifting scholarship. CHS is proud of Madi, and we look forward to her continued success.
