PUBLIC NOTICE
The Okaloosa County School Board’s Auditor Selection Committee will conduct meetings to review the responses received by the Okaloosa County School District for RFP 24-01 External Independent Auditing Services and RFP 24-02 Internal Accounts Independent Auditing Services, to conduct interviews of the responders, and to develop recommendations to the School Board. The meetings will be held at the Okaloosa County School District Central Administration Complex Training Room located at 202 Hwy 85N, Niceville, FL 32578 on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:30 a.m., and Monday, March 25, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. The March 25, 2024 date is scheduled to conduct interviews of the responders if the committee elects to require interviews. This meeting date may be cancelled if interviews are not required. In accordance with the provisions of Section 286.0113, F.S., the portion of the meeting(s) during which the actual Responder interviews will be conducted is exempt from the requirements of Section 286.011, F.S. and may be closed to the public. The remaining portions of the meeting(s) shall be open to the press and public.
Any interested party who decides to appeal any decision made by the Okaloosa County School Board’s Auditor Selection Committee with respect to any matter considered during these meetings, will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. The School District will make a complete recording of any portions of these meetings that are closed to the public. This notice does not constitute consent by the School Board for the introduction or admission of otherwise inadmissible or irrelevant evidence, nor does it authorize challenges or appeals not otherwise allowed by law.
