The 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical and Poster Contests, hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated- Sigma Omicron Omega Chapter, took place at Niceville High School on Saturday, January 13, 2024. This year’s theme was “Remembering to Tell our Story Honoring the Past.” All participants received a medallion and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category received a trophy. First place winners also received a monetary award, the opportunity to showcase their work at Beulah First Baptist Church during their MLK Observance Program on Sunday, January 14, and participate in the Fort Walton Beach Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade.  This year's contest was well represented and every participant entered inspiring work.
