Northwood Elementary School competed in the Nationwide 5th/6th Grade Spring America Answers Contest and won 1st place out of 131 5th grade teams that competed, and 3rd place in the overall category that included 5th and 6th grade teams. America Answers Contest is an online scholastic competition in the fall and spring when schools from the United States compete. Several Okaloosa schools have participated in the event over the last few years, and this is the second time an Okaloosa County School has won.
