Shelley Jacobs Named Specialist, Human Resources Investigations

Shelley Jacobs was named the Specialist, Human Resources Investigations, at the March 13, 2023, School Board meeting. Shelley was born in Anchorage, Alaska and at the age of 12 moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama, with her parents, Gary and Maria Robinson, and sisters, Amanda and Lindsey.

After graduating with honors from Gulf Shores High School, Shelley attended Troy University where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration. After college, Shelley moved to Okaloosa County, Florida, where she began a career focusing on child welfare. She gained over 13 years of experience working with the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Department of Children and Families, and the Department of Health’s Child Protection Team. During that time, Shelley completed over 1,500 investigations and became recognized as a child abuse and neglect subject matter expert. 

Shelley has been married to Josh Jacobs for the past 12 years and together they have three boys: Clay, Eli, and Shepherd. Shelley attends First Baptist Church Fort Walton Beach with her family, where she is a devoted member of the choir. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, going to the beach, attending youth sporting events, and spending time with her family and friends.
