Mandatory Open Enrollment

October 14 - November 12, 2024

OCSD is hosting "Open Enrollment” for the 2025 plan year. What does this mean for you? It is requested that you log in to employeenavigator.com and confirm your elections EVEN if you are not making a change. We also ask that you add at least one beneficiary for your $25K School Board paid Life Insurance Policy. All 2025 Active Employees and Retired Employees Benefit Guides are available in electronic version only beginning this plan year.  

Open Enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to review your current employee benefit elections and make any changes that may be needed for you and your family.

MEDICAL INSURANCE

We are proud to announce for the first time ever…RATE REDUCTIONS and Plan Design Enhancements.

DENTAL INSURANCE

UnitedHealth Care will continue as our Dental Provider. 

VISION INSURANCE

EyeMed continues to provide vision services. 

Hearing Healthcare is now offered by Amplifon. The nation's largest independent hearing discount network with up to 60% discount and savings with major brands through Amplifon as part of being an EyeMed member.

LIFE AND DISABILITY INSURANCE

The Standard is offering BENEFITS for 2025: 

  • Voluntary Long-Term Disability – The District's Long-Term Disability carrier is The Standard Life Insurance.  You can enroll in a 90-day policy or a 180-day policy. Medical Underwriting is required. 

  • Short-Term Disability – You can enroll in a 90-day or 180-day Short-Term Disability policy. Medical Underwriting is required. Covers Maternity Leave for 6 - 8 weeks.

SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE

BENEFITS The Standard is offering for 2025 which is an “Open Year.” Everyone is approved who enrolls. Medical Underwriting is waived this Open Enrollment cycle: 

  • Accident Insurance – Plan designed to pay for out-of-pocket expenses that Medical Insurance won’t pay for.  *Includes a $200 Wellness Benefit annually.

  • Critical Illness Insurance – Critical Illness Insurance gives you an affordable option for easing the financial burden that comes with a serious illness. Under this plan, children are covered at no extra cost. *Includes a $100 Wellness Benefit annually.

  • Hospital Indemnity – You can take action now to help prepare for the out-of-pocket expenses that come with a hospital stay.  *Includes a $50 Wellness Benefit annually.

HOW AND WHEN TO ENROLL

Starting October 14th, you will be able to access all of your employee benefits information online by logging in to employeenavigator.com. Please do NOT attempt to log in before the October 14th start date.  This user-friendly portal will allow you to make changes to your benefit elections, add or delete dependents, and update your life insurance beneficiary. 

Login instructions can be found on page 7 of the 2025 Benefits Reference Guide. This site will close for Open Enrollment on November 12th. 

If you do not wish to make any changes for 2025, you are still required to log in to employeenavigator.com and make and/or confirm your benefit elections. 

However, please note:  2024 Health or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account elections will not roll over automatically. If you would like to enroll in an FSA account for 2025, you must do so by logging into employeenavigator.com.
