For twenty years, the Multi-Cultural Council has promoted student achievement and facilitated student desire to excel academically and socially.  The Meigs Multi-Cultural is a group of students united by leadership, academics, and diversity.

Mission Statement:  Membership in the Multicultural Council is open to all races who are interested in academic excellence, leadership skills, and a willingness to embrace diversity.

If selected, students become what we call "Exceptional Examples."

Students are selected based on the following criteria:

• Grades (Minimum 2.8 GPA)

• Leadership qualities

• No discipline referrals from previous school year

Typical MC activities include:

• Peer mentoring/community service

• Supporting athletics

• Cultural heritage month activities

• Participation in MLK oratorical/poster contest and parade

• College visits in the spring
