After the latest call with the Okaloosa County Director of Public Safety, Patrick Maddox, we are confirming that school will be in session tomorrow, Friday, September 27. We are thankful that Okaloosa County was spared the worst of Hurricane Helene and are keeping the counties who were affected in our thoughts. Absences and tardies by those who decided to evacuate or commute from areas affected by Hurricane Helene will be excused. Please follow your school's protocol for excused absences and tardies. Schools will communicate information specific to their extracurricular and after school activities if need be.
**IMPORTANT**
EGLIN ELEMENTARY will be closed tomorrow, Friday, September 27, as the base will not open until 11am. The base will follow its regular post-storm protocol to ensure it is safe for operations to continue. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
