Good day Destin Middle School Families, OCSD School Board Policy allows free distribution of surplus textbooks prior to disposal. These surplus textbooks are available to the public for free July 19 - July 21 from 8:30 - 2 pm. Stop by the front office and just ask to view surplus textbooks. Have a great weekend! Go Marlins!

DMS Readiness Day - Tuesday, July 25th We are excited to meet of newest Marlins! 5th Graders and New Students, join us for an optional tour of DMS and learn more about our school. Classrooms will not be open during the tours. Please arrive at the DMS Cafeteria at your scheduled times: 9:00 a.m. - Last Names A-I 10:00 a.m. - Last Names J-R 11:00 a.m. - Last Names S-Z Uniform Spirit Shirt Sale 1:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Gym Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. Shirts will be $20 each of 5 for $90. CASH OR CHECK ONLY! DMS Uniform Spirit shirts are required Mondays - Thursdays. Shirts will be on sale at Orientation on August 9th and may be ordered online throughout the year.

Summer Basketball Camp for 1st grade - 8th grade boys and girls - June 19-22. Cost is $100 per camper.

DMS Basketball Open Gym - Wednesdays: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Saturdays: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Bring your own water bottle!

DMS Volleyball Camp Information - Runs July 25 - July 27. Tuesday - Thursday, 6 PM - 8 PM. Cost is $100 per camper.

DMS Summer Running Camp information - Runs June 19 - 27. Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM. The cost is $120/Child.

Monday, May 15, 7th grade students will be taking the Civics End-of-Course test during AA through 3rd period. Please be aware, students cannot be checked out until noon when the testing session is completed. We are so proud of our hard working Marlins!!

Early release times for the last day of school, May 25th, 2023. See attached flyer.

The state science test will be administered to students in Grade 5 and Grade 8 beginning tomorrow, May 9. Please be on time to school, and please make every effort not to request early check outs for 5th grade or 8th grade students during the testing time between 9 a.m. and Noon on May 9.
