Literacy Week is Monday, January 27th- Friday, January 31st and our Library is full of wonderful books! As you visit the library this week take a guess of how many books you think full the shelves. Drop your guess in the Guess Jar. Winner will be announced later this week.
Monday, January 27th - Reading is everywhere....don't miss a word! Wear a shirt with a quote or saying on it for others to read. Also, join us tonight from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM for our Curriculum Night with literacy activities sponsored by New Worlds Reading, STEM stations around campus, dinner and take-home books/items.
Tuesday, January 28th - Reading never gets old! It's the 100th day so dress like a Centenarian, a person who is one hundred or more years old. Or wear your favorite 100th day shirt.
Wednesday, January 29th - Hats off to Reading! Wear your favorite thinking cap/hat to school.
Thursday, January 30th - Just illustrate! Redesign the cover of a book, illustrate a page or paragraph of a novel, or choose a section of the library to illustrate a picture that would show what books can be found on the shelves.
Friday, January 31st - Snuggle Up and Read! Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) Time. Enjoy time to just read and understand what the kids are reading and enjoying.
