On November 9, Davidson invited all veterans with ties to our school to join us for a special celebration. Our students created decorations to fill our hallways and welcome our military friends. Our veteran visitors enjoyed a reception before the event where they were also able to judge our student art and poetry competitions. During our assembly, both the band and chorus treated us to patriotic musical numbers. Veteran Ian Prescott was our guest speaker who shared about his experiences in the military. He challenged our students to stand for freedom since he could no longer physically do so. Several of our students with military connections also presented "The White Table". Overall, the assembly was a patriotic success!
We'd like to thank all of our students who took the time to create entries for our poetry and artwork competitions. We would also like to express our gratitude to the faculty members who worked so hard to plan and execute this event. It was outstanding!
