Okaloosa County Schools will recognize and observe HOPE WEEK Monday, February 12 – Friday, February 16. We encourage you to wear yellow on Thursday, February 15, the National Day of Hope. HOPE WEEK and Day of HOPE bring us together to raise awareness of suicide prevention and mental wellness to destigmatize mental health issues and empower our students, faculty, and community members to ask for help when they are in an emotional crisis. During HOPE WEEK, students and staff will participate in activities promoting hope, including random acts of kindness and wearing yellow for suicide prevention.
The Crestview competitive cheerleading team attended the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando Florida this past weekend. Their traditional routine came out 2nd in the nation in their division and their gameday routine came out 4th in the nation in their division. We could not be more proud of them and all their accomplishments this season!

Please Note
On the 3rd of February the Crestview High School Chess team traveled to Daphne, Alabama. The one day tournament resulted in a First Place and second place rated scholastic trophies. Our chess players are nationally rated and this trip will also result in all of our members ratings going up.
First Place - Grayson Chambers. Grayson attended his first tournament last year and has not looked back. He has secured wins at every tournament he has attended and has grown his game through constant practice and focus
Second Place – Jayden Hedges. Jayden is the Chess captain this year and has led his team on 3 trips this year with the fourth and final trip coming next month to Orlando. Jayden and Grayson had to play against each other in the final match as they were the only undefeated players at the tournament. Jayden’s leadership has been key this year in growing the program.
All of our traveling team members on this trip Jayden Hedges(Captain), Hunter Jacobs (co-captain), Joseph Kendrick (Lieutenant), Grayson Chambers, Aiden Bryan(awarded the sportsmanship medal for the tournament), David Graham, Jaccob Porter, Paul Pusley, Alexis Rush, Alex Bryan(not pictured) and Bryce Meyers (not pictured)
