At Bob Sikes Elementary School, we value your feedback as we continue working to create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for all students and staff.
Please take a few moments to complete the survey and return the ticket entry form by Wednesday, April 29. The class with the most completed surveys in each grade level will win a class party, and families who complete the survey will also be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.

🎬✨ Bob Sikes Elementary invites incoming Kindergarten families to our Kindergarten Sneak Peek Event on Tuesday, April 28! Families can explore classrooms, experience learning, and see what makes BSE special.

Main Street Family Fest (Title I Event) at 6:00 PM
Patriotic flyer for Mainstreet Family Fest with fireworks, flags, balloons, and a downtown family scene. Event is Friday, May 1, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 PM in partnership with Okaloosa Schools. Features free bike helmets, activities, water safety tips, educational resources, food trucks, live music, games, and giveaways. Hosted by several local schools including Bob Sikes Elementary.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week!
🎉🕺 We’re Celebrating the Decades for Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, May 4–8! 💃🎉
Bob Sikes Elementary will be honoring our amazing teachers and staff with a fun Decades Week celebration! From the fabulous 50’s to the rad 90’s, each day students will have an optional way to help show appreciation to the incredible team that supports them every day. 💚🐾
🗓 Daily Student Participation Themes:
Monday, May 4 (50’s): Sweet Note Monday
Bring a kind note, picture, or drawing for a teacher or staff member.
Tuesday, May 5 (60’s): Snack Attack Tuesday
Bring a favorite snack, drink, or small treat for a teacher or staff member.
Wednesday, May 6 (70’s): Groovy Gratitude Wednesday
Create a thank-you card or note for any staff member.
Thursday, May 7 (80’s): Totally Awesome Thursday
Share compliments, kind words, or extra helpfulness throughout the day.
Friday, May 8 (90’s): Favorite Things Friday
Bring a teacher’s favorite item/gift, share a favorite memory, or write about something learned this year.
Participation is completely optional, but we hope this adds extra fun as we celebrate the amazing educators and staff who make Bob Sikes Elementary such a special place!

📣 Awards Ceremony Update for Families 📣
Earlier this year, we shared a schedule that included our Fourth Nine Weeks Awards Ceremony. At this time, we will no longer hold a schoolwide Fourth Nine Weeks Awards Ceremony.
Instead, students in 1st through 4th grade will be recognized during in-class awards celebrations on separate dates. Teachers will share classroom celebration details with families soon.

Bob Sikes Elementary – FAST Testing Calendar
Our Bullpups will be participating in FAST assessments on the following dates. Students will test with their subject area teacher for ELA and Math if departmentalized.
Important Testing Dates:
Tuesday, March 31: 4th and 5th Grade Writing Assessment
Tuesday, May 5: Kindergarten through 2nd Grade ELA
Wednesday, May 6: 3rd through 5th Grade ELA and Math (Homeroom Teacher)
Thursday, May 7: 3rd through 5th Grade ELA and Math (Switch Teacher)
