Four sailors from the NHS Sailing Team - Spencer Byrd, Joel Havercroft, Logan Snyder, and Jacob Milz - along with crew assistant Wesley Hall, recently participated in the 2022 Allstate Sugar Bowl Great Oaks Invitational Regatta at the Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans.
The Great Oaks Invitational was a national-level regatta with 28 teams competing, some from elite sailing schools as far away as Michigan, Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard.
A huge thanks to coaches Mark Hunter and Zack Kastl for all their work preparing the team for this big event, especially since weather conditions were extremely challenging! Go Eagles!
