High school students earning accelerated college credits have a unique opportunity to get ahead, but navigating college options, transfer credits, and future academic plans can be challenging. Florida State University's Pre-Collegiate Advising & Transition Hub (PATH) is a pilot program designed to help students make informed decisions about their academic future and successfully transition from high school to higher education.
What Is PATH?
PATH is designed for high school sophomores and juniors participating in accelerated credit programs such as Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE), and College-Level Examination Program (CLEP). The program provides guidance and resources to help students understand how their earned credits can support future college and career goals.

Individualized Advising -
PATH offers personalized academic planning and college readiness support tailored to each student's goals and educational background.
Major Exploration -
Students receive guidance to help align current coursework with long-term academic and career aspirations, making it easier to plan for future college majors and career pathways.
Skill-Building Workshops -
Virtual workshops help students understand policies, navigate accelerated credit opportunities, and maximize the value of the college credits they earn during high school.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the PATH pilot program, students must meet the following criteria:
Be a current Florida high school student with sophomore or junior classification, AND
Have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, AND
Will have one of the following before the application deadline: ACT, CLT, or SAT scores, OR have already earned college credit through an accelerated credit program.
Application Requirements
Students should be prepared to provide:
Unofficial high school and college transcripts
Unofficial test scores (ACT, CLT, SAT, AP, IB, AICE, or CLEP)
Contact information, including email addresses for a school counselor and parent or guardian
