NaGISA's Trip to Japan

Over the Thanksgiving break, 8 students from the NHS Gifted Program’s NaGISA project made scientific presentations and posters at the Second World Congress of Marine Stations in Shizuoka, Japan. Their efforts at the Congress were so successful they have been formally invited to the Third World Congress and to assist in the production of the official Atlas of Marine Stations. They have been welcomed as equal colleagues with the other eminent Ph.D research marine scientists at the Congress. Pictured here are the students engaged in phytoplankton density research at the Shimoda Marine Station after being invited for a tour by station director Dr. Silvain Agostini.

We are so proud of all involved! Congratulations and GO EAGLES!!
