A line of storms is expected to move into our area overnight and continue through tomorrow evening. We anticipate heavy rainfall, which may lead to brief flash flood conditions and pooling on roadways.
At this time, we do not expect any changes to school start times or dismissal. However, we encourage everyone to exercise caution during your commute. If your child is late or misses school due to weather in your area, please provide a note when they return.
We will keep you updated if any changes arise. Thank you, and have a great evening!

Phones at all schools have been restored!

Good morning! Phones are down at some of our schools. We appreciate your patience as we work to fix the issue.

Our September calendar is here! Out of uniform days for students are scheduled on the 6th, 19th, and 25th of September, as long as their outfits aligns with our school's dress code.

Schedule Changes - Numerous factors are considered when scheduling students. To ensure all students receive the most appropriate placement, we rarely make schedule changes. The only reasons we change schedules are if you are missing a required core class, you have too few or too many classes, it is determined a support class is needed, you were enrolled in a course you have already taken/passed, or classes are being balanced which can happen throughout the year. Some student's schedules may change from the time of schedule pick-up on August 8th and Orientation on August 9th. On the first day of school, we will make sure all students get to their correct 1st period and a copy of their schedule will be given to them in 1st period so they can confirm their class order.

If you have daily or emergency medications that you would like to check into the clinic, staff will be available August 8th and 9th from 9 AM - 11 AM. They can also be checked in during school hours once school starts on August 12th.

7th Graders - We MUST have your student’s shot records by Friday!! In order to enter 7th grade, you MUST have the TDAP booster. We need a copy of your DH680/Code 8 immunizations are complete for 7th grade. Please bring it to the office BEFORE August 9th or you may not start school. Immunizations are available at your doctor's office or the the Okaloosa County Health Department. For Health Department hours call (850) 833-9240.

Don’t forget, July 30th and 31st from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM is our Pop-Up Shop!! Purchase school uniforms, sign up for Free and Reduced Meals, notarize athletic paperwork, and secure your locker (optional). Park in lot off Denton Road - enter through the Gym!

We hope our students and staff have a restful summer break! We look forward to seeing our OCSD Family again on the first day of school, August 12, 2024. The 2024-2025 School Calendar can be found on our website: https://www.okaloosaschools.com/page/calendars
