April is the Month of the Military Child

April is the Month of the Military Child (MOMC)! We love celebrating our Military Dependent students every day but make sure they feel our support even more during April, because Military Youth Serve Too. We appreciate the partnership we have with our local military bases, their leadership, and their School Liaisons.

Honoring our Military Children for the sacrifices they make each and every day living the military lifestyle. MOMC was first established in 1986 by Defense Secretary Casper Weinberger. There are currently 1.2 million children of active duty members. 2 million military children have experienced a parent's deployment since 9/11.

Let's celebrate Military Youth together by wearing purple for the month of April. Purple highlights all branches of service.

If you would like to volunteer or mentor and make a positive impact on a child's life, please contact Team Eglin School Liaison Manager Elaine LaJeunesse.
