The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee of Okaloosa County proudly announces the theme for 2024, “Remembering to Tell Our Story Honoring the Past”. The Oratorical and Poster Contests hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® Sigma Omicron Omega Chapter will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Niceville High School, located at 800 E John Sims Pkwy, Niceville, FL, 32578.
Each school may submit only three participants for the Oratorical Contest and only five for the Poster Contest. Schools are expected to have preliminary contests to determine the top applicants from each category.
The deadline for submitting student applications is December 2nd, 2023, to Mrs. Oswald (Room 9). For more details, contact Mrs. Oswald.
