Scott Nuss earned his bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, as well as his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University Of West Florida.
Mr. Nuss has been an educator in Okaloosa County Schools for the last 24 years. During that time, he proudly served as an elementary teacher at Wright Elementary for 13 ½ years. During that time, he was a Project C.H.I.L.D teacher primarily in 5th grade. During that time, he worked with some wonderful educators and credits them for building his strong educational foundation. Next, he started his administrative journey as the Dean of Students and later became an Assistant Principal at Bruner Middle School for 3 ½ years. During the 2015-16 school year Mr. Nuss was able to revisit his passion for working back in an elementary school by transferring to the Assistant Principal position at Elliott Point Elementary where he has worked for over the past 6 plus years. During the 2020-21 school year, he was very fortunate to be named the Principal of Elliott Point Elementary.
Mr. Nuss attributes his educational success primarily to the support from his wife Holly and his 2 children, Mikayla and Aleq, who are both proud graduates of Fort Walton Beach High School.
Mr. Nuss believes that building strong relationships is the foundation for helping each child reach their full potential in becoming lifelong learners. Mr. Nuss is excited to lead Elliott Point Elementary. GO Eagles!!!
