Message from Principal McClelland

Hello Thunderbird Families! We have had an excellent start to our 23-24 school year! Students have been working hard to finish Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) and iReady testing. These two assessments will be given three times this year (Fall, Winter, Spring). The FAST is used to help teachers know where students are with current grade-level standards. The last FAST assessment will be used for promotion/retention. TheiReady assessment helps teachers identify specific student needs. Our goal is to see growth in all students throughout the year. Reports will go home for both assessments. If you have questions regarding the reports, please contact your child’s teacher or school administrator.

Please consider volunteering at our school. All you need to do is visit the Okaloosa Schools website and complete a volunteer application. Once approved, contact the school to inform us of your approval. We hope to get many of you involved with what we do at our school.

We look forward to an amazing year.
