Our Mascot

 Our school mascot is the Thunderbird. The thunderbird represents power and strength.

Mary Esther Elementary will develop and prepare ALL students to become successful independent learners and achieve their full potential, where our learning environment is safe, positive, and compassionate, in order to accelerate learning and life skills.

Our School Day Schedule

 

7:50 a.m.                     Staff Arrival

We ask that students not go to their classrooms before 8:10 a.m.

8:00-8:25 a.m.             Breakfast- Students who eat breakfast should go directly to the cafeteria.  All others to classrooms after 8:10 a.m.

8:25 a.m.                     First Bell

8:30 a.m.                     Tardy Bell – After which parents must bring students into the front office before they will be admitted to class

Dismissal

2:55 p.m.                     Dismissal Bell - Car Riders, Day Care Vans and Walkers

                                           3:00-3:15 p.m.             Buses

 

*Supervision of students by school personnel is provided only:

  1. During the time the student is being transported to or from school at public expense;

  2. During the time the student is attending school;

  3. During the time the student is on the school premises participating, with authorization, in a school-sponsored activity;

  4. During a reasonable time – thirty minutes before and after a student is on the school premises for attendance at school or for authorized participation in a school-sponsored activity – and only on the school premises.

     In accordance with Florida law, parents should not rely on the school to provide any additional supervision.     Florida Statute, Section 232.25(1) and (2)
