Join Destin Elementary School on National Walk to School Day, Wednesday, October 4th, 2023.
Students and adults are asked to join us at Corpus Christi Catholic Church parking lot.
- Wear BRIGHT NEON COLORS (Orange, Yellow, Pink, Green) to school to show appreciation for Pedestrian Safety Month.
- Route: at 7:40 a.m., we will walk northbound from Corpus Christi Catholic Church towards Destin Elementary, crossing a crosswalk. We will cross again at the Kelly St. and Beach Dr. crosswalk. We will then travel southbound, entering through the yellow gate on Beach Drive.
The goal is to show the children the importance of pedestrian safety by explaining sidewalks, crosswalks, and visibility associated with wearing bright colors.
