OCSD Monitoring Winter Weather

Sunday, January 25
4:00pm

We are in regular communication with Okaloosa County Public Safety Director Patrick Maddox as we monitor the storm moving into our area. At this time, the primary impacts for Okaloosa County are expected to be very cold temperatures on Monday and Tuesday.

According to the latest reports, wind and ice are not anticipated to affect the school day or travel to and from school. There are no changes to Monday’s schedule. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and stay in contact with local and regional weather officials should anything change.

If you choose to keep your child home due to weather concerns, please send a note upon their return so the absence can be excused. Thank you, and have a great day.

We are currently working with Okaloosa County Public Safety Director, Patrick Maddox, and monitoring a storm that is predicted to produce winter weather including temperatures in the teens and low twenties Sunday night into Tuesday morning. At this time there are no changes to our schedule on Monday, however we will continue to monitor and communicate with local and regional weather officials over the weekend. We will provide updates with families and staff through callouts, text messages, social media, and our website if decisions are made to adjust school start or dismissal times or to cancel school. Thank you, and have a great weekend!
