HOPE Week bring us together to raise awareness of suicide prevention and mental wellness to destigmatize mental health issues and empower our students, faculty, and community members to ask for help when they are in an emotional crisis. During HOPE WEEK, students and staff will participate in activities promoting hope, including random acts of kindness and wearing yellow for suicide prevention:
Monday, February 10th - Kicking Off Kindness
HOPE Squad will greet students as they arrive to school with upbeat music and positive greetings.
Tuesday, February 11th - Compliments are Cool
Challenge everyone to give out compliments today. Make those compliments fall like snowflakes.
Wednesday, February 12th - You are a Superhero!
WEAR your Superhero shirt because you are SUPER and a hero! HOPE Squad members, dressed as superheros, can read a book to your class.
Thursday, February 13th - Be the Sunshine Day (Wear Yellow)/Okaloosa Day of HOPE
Please wear yellow. The HOPE Squad members will pass out smiley face stickers.
Friday, February 14th - Appreciate Others (Wear Red)
