Upcoming Construction & Temporary Traffic Changes
I-10 / P.J. Adams Parkway Interchange Project
We want to keep our families informed about a vital road construction project that will impact traffic in the area near Antioch Elementary School.
As part of the I-10 at P.J. Adams Parkway interchange project, construction of a new single-lane roundabout is underway. This roundabout will connect Antioch Road, Whitehurst Lane, Addison Place, and Garrett Pit Road to the new P.J. Adams Parkway extension.
What This Means for Antioch Elementary Families Starting in August 2025, a temporary traffic pattern will be in place during peak drop-off and pick-up hours: One lane in, one lane out with limited shoulder/queuing space. To ease traffic flow, please time drop-offs and pick-ups when gates are open. This temporary setup will remain until construction is completed
Looking Ahead: The Okaloosa County School District is working closely with the City of Crestview to develop a queuing lot, which will further assist with traffic flow once construction is completed.
· Roundabout construction is expected to be finished by mid-2026
· The whole I-10/P.J. Adams interchange project is scheduled for completion by late 2026
