The purpose of a SAC is to assist in the preparation and evaluation (developing and evaluating) of the School Performance Plan (SPP) and to assist the principal with the annual school budget. In this capacity, SAC approves plans submitted for distribution of School Recognition Funds (A+ dollars). Additionally, SAC receives funds to be used at the discretion of the School Advisory Committee with the stipulation that a portion of the money is used for implementing the SPP. As a team of individuals representing the community served by the school, SAC plays an important role in providing valuable input and oversight into the school improvement process.
