Bull horn with important announcement

Dear Baker School Parents and Guardians,

We are writing to inform you that one of our rooms will be undergoing an abatement process this weekend.

The culinary lab has been under remodel and not in use since before the beginning of school.  During this time, no students were given access to the room.  Recently, it was discovered that the underlying flooring required abatement.  The only flooring that was disturbed was removed for testing and no students or staff were exposed to the disturbed flooring.  The pictures that are circulating on social media were taken by a staff member and not by a student.

Rest assured that all necessary precautions will be taken to ensure the safety and health of everyone involved.

The abatement will be carried out by a professional and licensed abatement company.  They have extensive experience in handling this procedure and will follow all safety protocols and guidelines.  The abatement process will involve the removal of any hazardous materials such as asbestos.

We understand that this news may cause some concerns among parents, but please rest assured that every precaution is being taken to ensure the safety of our students and staff.  The abatement will be carried out this weekend, and the culinary lab will be thoroughly cleaned and tested before it is deemed safe for use again.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the abatement process, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your understanding.
