Welcome to Antioch Elementary School. We are committed to providing critical transitional support for military-connected students as they relocate to our school due to a parent's change in duty station. Our focus is to eliminate barriers to the academic success of military-connected students. We are here to assist and support the military family lifestyle in such areas as school transitions, frequent moves, deployment, and education inconsistencies that exist from state to state, along with many others.
Antioch Elementary's Student Council helps facilitate our Antioch Ambassadors program, welcoming new military students to the school and community. Upon enrollment, new students are connected with an Ambassador who will take them on a school tour, help introduce them to their teacher, and be a welcome face as they get acquainted with Antioch Elementary School.
Antioch Elementary School staff receive professional development concerning how to identify and respond to the needs of military students and their families.
Antioch Elementary School reserves at least 5% of controlled open enrollment seats, as defined in Section 1002.31, F.S., for military students.
We honor and celebrate our military families throughout the year in many ways:
Veteran's Day Music Program - Parents are invited to come celebrate our military service members with patriotic songs and our school community.
Wall of Remembrance - celebrates family service members of Antioch students and staff. Students, Faculty, and Staff are invited to bring in photographs of loved ones who have served our country to be posted on our Freedom Wall in the main hallway and celebrated through the month of November.
